Happy Hunting

With interest rates in the housing market being so low, Chase and I decided to start looking at houses in the area.  We met with a realtor today to fill out some paperwork to make an offer on a house.  What a crazy ride!! Within an hour we got two calls from her which pretty much left us rethinking this whole thing.

I've been given advice from others not far removed from this process that if you like a house enough you shouldn't give up because even though you have to jump through some hoops it will be worth it in the end.  I'm sure being in a house is definitely worth it.  A place to call our own, to decorate, to relax on the porch, to have a yard, to invite more than two people over without feeling like you're in an elevator.  All of these things sound nice and this particular house looks like a good starter home.  Don't get me wrong, it's not our dream home.  The sinks are shaped like sea shells...and if you've ever been to our apartment you know why I hate sea shells.

Who knows where this will end up? We aren't in any rush so we feel confident we won't get ourselves in any kind of bind.  It's exciting to think of the possibilities but if we are still at the apartment for a while it won't be the end of the world.  Summer's coming quick and we have a pool here!!

If you are in this boat too, Happy Hunting!!
